How is this guy making more money than me playing this way? Building up 3k in a month...

Oh variance, be kind to thy soul.

That was my thought on reading this too. I've been breakeven or worse in ring games all year. I hate myself now. I am not making enough BIG LAYDOWNS.

Hell thats nothing. Once i had QQ in middle position. Its folded to me. I turn to my friend and say hey watch this, and fold it in turn.

Folded to the BB, who to show his plight shows, AA. Damn i am good.

This was of course during a massive tiltathon in a SNG session after getting cold decked with QQ 3 times in a row with bigger pairs showing on undercard flops.

Honestly this is just advice:

You are weak tight and that is a very bad way to play. Read your "30 books" or this forum, and certainly drop limits. Do not play a limit with less than 300 times the big blind at that limit, and do not play a limit at which you are unable to stomach a loss, because it's very likely that one will come.

Pokertracker: You have it and you need to use it. You can work on a whole lot of your game by searching for PT posts on this forum and comparing your results to 'good ones'. Analyze yourself properly and objectively. And don't be results oriented damnit - read crunchy's post back there somewhere - the fact that you were actually beat by AA here dosen't mean that you played this hand well. He won't have AA the VAST MAJORITY of the time.

Additonally, you'd better get some ads up on your site because a lot of 2+2ers are visiting it and showing their friends right now. Also please change the "your" to "you're" where appropriate.

He meant big bets, not big blinds. In other words, you need $600 for 1/2, 1200 for 2/4, 1800 for 3/6, 3k for 5/10, etc.

Oops, you're right I did mean to write that, my apologies. Yea 300 BB = 300 Big bets = 300 x (2x big blind).
Standard recommendation for a winnning player tryhard.. hopefully enough to prevent you from going broke at a given limit.

hmmm I wonder if you could of gotten the passive AA to fold if you were playing as aggressive as you should have been with KK.
Would you have played AA as poorly as KK in that situation and given away the pot because of a scary board?
