There is a difference between voicing controversial opinions and being innapropriate. I personally would prefer that some of the discussions, particularly on the Politics forum, not happen on 2+2. They can get very heated and partisan, and a lot of the discussion I find to be ignorant. Furthermore, I think some of those threads may turn off some potential posters. But, we have a policy of being generally permissive, and that is important to us.

But we have to have a modding system in place that will immediately remove stuff like kiddie porn (just a clear-cut example), and we need it sooner, rather than later. It may be inconsistent for a while and seem unfair... obviously that sucks. No one wants that. But we need it.

Otis has been PMing Mat and others about the inappropriate threads and comments in OOT. She doesn't like the threads on small boobs or bad-fitting clothes or anything that might smack of sexual stereotypes.

Brilliant IMO.

The straw that broke the camels back was when talk2bigsteve made the "1412 posts and calling it quits FOREVER!!! " post without any explanation, I posted a violin. That was it. Otis didn't like it.
