+4 means 4 strokes better than scratch. for example michelle wie is a +6

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm..I never knew it was kept below scratch. So +3.9 - that's basically pro golfer caliber.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd say most PGA Tour pros would have handicaps of +5 and above. While +4 is quite good, it is extremely difficult to take 1 shot off your game at a high level.

BTW, +3.9 was my peak. When I was playing a lot of golf, I mainly hovered around +2.5 or so.

[/ QUOTE ]

Tiger is around a +8 at his home course I think. Some estimate that in 2000 his index would have been +10 or a little better. Sad that +4 doesn't cut it anymore.

I was +55 for the front 9 at Indoor Golf the other day. I did throw the golfball 85mph though.

1. I'm probably about a 12-15 handicap.
2. 36 E
3. 75 +3
4. 2-3 times a week, used to be more, i used to be about a 9-10 handicap.

Also, sorry to brag, but I've one hole-in-one, and it was on a par four.

Why do you say this?
Since you want to call bull#$%@, I'll give you some real ammunition.

I shot 68 today, and whiffed a shot!

That has to be an interesting story. Unless you're playing in U.S. Womens Open, in which case that would be an interesting story too....lol

He was a lot closer to stepping on the ball than hitting it. Then he had to punch it out into the fairway. Oh yeah, he still beat me five shots on that hole.

I played college golf. Now I am a club pro so what little game I "used to" have is ancient history. For some reason that "used to" reminds me of "it was soooted."

Waiting for you to chime in LOL.

Here's some goofy numbers for you. I bought a new putter today. Last saturday I hit 15 greens, 15 in a row in fact, missed 1, 17, and 18 and shot 76. Eeek. New putter oughta fix that. (I did leave myself some long putts hitting that # of greens, but my putting still sucked.) Then on sunday I shot 83 by going 36-47. My game is really amusing, let me tell you. Yeah, I shot a 130 or something today. I rule, and also hate knee high grass. What does it say about someone's game when you are in a threesome, maybe 18-20 balls at the beginning of the round, and I ended up not finishing 18 after losing my last ball and was unable to get another one from either of my playing partners.

I think the golf course you were playing is a bit much for your skill level.

I think pretty much all golf courses are too much for my skill level. Someone who has the talent to at any time either hook or slice off the tee has needs that very few courses can deliver

Oh, and I can't putt, chip, or hit a medium to long iron. I'm decent with a wedge though out to about 115.
