Man, I wish I could afford it, but my cash-flow is always nuked this time of the year.

I've ordered 10 of each, just for samples/playing around with.

I'm trying to decide whether one of the plaques is gonna be my new card marker.

I think the Octagon would make a better marker...

I've taken my $1 chip as a marker, since it says "Cagle's Oasis" in heiro. [note: the new chips say "poker oasis"] But I think the octagon will get the most comments. [the plaque will too, but it's too big?]

That's one serious case... pretty cool, nice find. Could even put it on wheels. 1890 chips = ~40 Lbs. not too bad.

Can't wait to see pics especially when it's fully loaded!

I ordered a "sample" set, but I got a few extra octagons just for that purpose.

Great job on the design, btw.

I'm in (for 1890 chips) as soon as PayPal is back online...

I've already got the case that will hold them all.. (no need to worry about anybody running off with that case!)

Damn you, TenPercenter --- you're costing me a lot of $$

Trust me, I feel the same pain.

That case is great, it's the first I've seen of it's kind. Enough space up top for a shuffler. And 1200 chips per drawer! It'd take a lot of money to fill it up with premium chips...

Thanks a lot. I'm glad that I found a way that ordering singles is doable. So many people ordering samples is flattering in itself.

Ten,
Just to clarifty things... That case has 3 drawers, and each drawer holds 400 chips. So that's a total of 1200 chips in all 3 drawers (not 1200 per drawer).
But I figure that by not getting a card shuffler (a hardship I'll just have to endure), I have space for more of those fabulous Egyptian chips in the top of the case.

OK --- I think I've got the images available at these links:

The $500 chip card marker statue:

The Tut statue:
http://www.imagehosting.us/imagehost...jpg/?id=120178

Those card marker statues were pretty cheap --- and they're pretty light plastic. The shop also had solid metal versions of these (brass?), but I didn't buy any. I was afraid they'd be too heavy --- maybe heavy enough to dent the cards. But I think I'll pick up a couple on my next visit to the Luxor, just to try them out.

Backs of 3 decks of cards:

The face of the cards:
http://www.imagehosting.us/imagehost...jpg/?id=120213

Sorry about the glare on that card face picture...
I haven't opened any of these decks yet --- I'm saving them for games w/ the Egyptian chips. I don't know yet if all the cards have the same picture on the face, or if they're all different.
