Anyone who does not have a daughter, and thinks what Greg did was wrong/inappropriate, needs to FOAD. You will never understand until/if you do have a daughter. Until then, shut up.

That is all.

Agreed.
I believe a younger sister should be enough too. Imagine anyone says something threatening a younger sister. Bad news. I hope the guy got kicked out of the RIO.

I'm still trying to figure out how inquiring about someone's daughter is grounds for a death threat.

[/ QUOTE ]

He has alredy been the victim of an attempted robery involving a gun. He has money and celebrity status. There are a lot of desperate people in the poker world.

I don't blame him one bit for threatening the guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. Think about it, athletes get tutored into this stuff when they enter the league. They are somewhat prepared for it. Raymer was just some dude, then suddenly everybody knows he has several million dollars. You think there aren't nutjobs out there thinking about blackmail/kidnapping/whatever?!?!?!?! I'm sure many of us would do more than threaten, but Raymer seems like a class act.

Greg, I am sorry you had to deal with this crap. I hope nothing comes of it and it doesn't adversely affect you or your family. Although, killing someone is inappropriate. We all know slowly torturing this kind of person, nursing them back to health, and then doing it all over again is much more acceptable. Now win that fuckking tournament.

Greg-

That was your best-played hand of the tournament. Thanks for clearing it up. Good luck.

I think you are taking for granted one of your talents. Your "read" on that guy is uncanny.Apply your people knowledge to this situation and become the aggressor. Have security get his name, address, phone, etc. and let him know that you mean business. You or your family shouldn't have to take that [censored]. If I saw in his eyes what I think you saw , he wouldn' have been able to walk out of there on his own.

Sounds like Matusow hired some degenerate to put Greg on tilt.

Don't bite - we're rootin for ya Raymer.

[/ QUOTE ]
I would not accuse Matusow or anyone in particular but I think it is entirely possible the guy pestering Mrs. Raymer was an actor hired to put Greg on tilt.

I don't have a child so I don't know what I would have done in Greg's place. Maybe if Greg hired some bodyguards it would be easier to put the incident out of his mind and concentrate on poker.

Best of luck in the ME Greg, I'm rooting for you.

Before we had our first daughter, I would have thought you were probably overreacting. Now, I totally and completely agree with your view.

Maybe you would understand had you been in Raymer's position and already had a couple of guys attempt to rob you (or possibly even kill you) outside of your room in the Bellagio last December.

You the man Raymer! You handled the situation just fine!
