Do you ever give yourself a wedgie or steal your own lunch money?

SMB3 was revolutionary. Anyone who disagrees is just showing their youth, because those who remember when this game came out know that it blew everything else away.

Super Metroid should not be so close to Megaman. The game was 24 MB, the largest game of it's time. Again, revolutionary. Megaman was just a good game.

I also voted against Tetris. Although Tetris is classic, SC2K provided many more hours of entertainment due to its complexity. You can only play Tetris for so long before you get tired of it. Anyone who spent more time playing Tetris either never played SC2K, or is just weird.

yeah, I wondered at that, I would leave my home games for bball at WCSU, go back to my dorm and play old school video games.

by all rights, I should have kicked my own ass long ago.

Im also a writer, so I should really hate myself for buying into mainstream sports that make us all wear uniforms... or soemthing.

FFI was ..groundbreaking but I cant play through it for the life of me,

FFV is schockingly good

[/ QUOTE ]

yes

[ QUOTE ]

FFVI is a masterpiece

FF7 is the best

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes also

[ QUOTE ]

FFVIII just wasnt VII no matter how hard it tried

[/ QUOTE ]

And the plot was horrible. Disc 1 was good. And all the characters besides squall sucked. Rinoa was a whiny bitch.

You know it's bad when you don't mind if 3/4 of the characters die.

[ QUOTE ]

FFIX was a joke

[/ QUOTE ]

I liked everything about this game but the plot and how cartoony it was... in other words I loved the combat system and weapons/leveling etc.

[ QUOTE ]

FFX was corny but decent, a lil too easy to beat

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, basically. I got into the whole "beat ultimate monsters" thing, beating the final ultimate boss was fun though the way you got to him was too annoying. And magic totally sucked, I hate when magic is totally useless.

[ QUOTE ]

FFX-2 is the beginning of the end for final fantasy... you [censored] change their dresses for gods sake, and the way you progressed in the story felt archaic, not to mention the first video was an anime music video.

[/ QUOTE ]

I never played it, but my friend did. It was pretty, that was about the only positive I saw.

You don't have Kings Quest, (whatever version is appropriate), Gunship2000 or Wolfpack.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meh, I didn't want to have 64 entrants, some had to go by the wayside.

It's amazing just how hard SC2 is getting pwned by Tetris after winning two matches.

[/ QUOTE ]

I get the feeling that if we included Solitaire or Minesweeper in this poll any of them would beat both tetris and sc2000 into bloody pulp.

I voted for Street Fighter II. ALTTP is still a gem, one of the most finely crafted games ever. SFII was a revolution. It changed arcades forever, it birthed a genre and set the bar incredibly high. SFII had a much more important impact, even if ALTTP was the better game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Very well said, sir. Couldn't agree more.

Then there's this:

Mind-boggling. Contra gave us the most famous (by a lot) secret code in the history of video games. There has to be some reason that everyone on the planet knows the code.
