I think a lot of people underestimate just how good Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell of the Experience were at bass and drums.

Its hard to make this point when Jimi Hendrix was one of these people, dont you think? I guess, you could say that Jimi didn't think much of anyone's guitar abilities, but...

So? Sting thought so much of his bandmates in The Police that he hasn't played with them in over a decade. This doesn't prove a thing.

Green Day and Nirvana are two extremely popular, groundbreaking, influential bands. They changed music in America. If you don't like them, well, that's your right. But to say that they "aren't very good" is just being ignorant.

I have never seen Rush live (sadly), I'm not a fan of Cream even though I really like Eric Clapton, and I simply like Green Day more than Hendrix or Nirvana. So thats where my vote goes.

Green Day was also the first punk band to play in front of very large audiences, and set up their own shows with 50,000+ attendence.

In other words, they were the first punk band to hit it big. I'd say thats pretty influential.

I'm sure the Sex Pistols and Ramones are thrilled with that.

I think The Clash is sitting there with a "What The ****?" look on their face, as well.
