[ QUOTE ] Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop spending money for a while in order to be able to afford it. [/ QUOTE ] If you have to struggle to afford it why in the world would you spend so much money on a car? |

Lotus Elise, and it's not even close. [/ QUOTE ] Just checked this car out and damn, it is all that. Still, the ducati will own all these cars performance wise and you'll still have $50k to spend on whatever you like. |

elise is really really small though. i think the jury's still out on whether or not it will be widely considered an effeminate car, for those that may be concerned.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think you can call it a girly car, it's far too aggressive looking for that. I would call it incredibly impractical, though. Definitely not the car to get if you need a reliable primary vehicle, more like the weekend getaway car. Swede |

Re: New Car, $50K-60K

[ QUOTE ] Porsche Boxster S $54,700 basic. 280 hp, 0-60 in 5.2 secs. [/ QUOTE ] I have a Mustang GT right now. With $1500 of mods, I'm at 285 HP and 0-60 in roughly the same. For $25K less, lol. I love the M5 and the M3. I'd love to end up with an M3, as I obviously can't afford the M5...but even the M3 is a bit pricey. My mother owns a 330ci, and I've fallen in love with convertibles. So I might just have to save my money for the M3 vert. Edit: Just looked at the M3 vert again on the website. Customized it modestly at $59,245. That is holding the #1 spot strongly right now. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop spending money for a while in order to be able to afford it. [/ QUOTE ] my m3 will eat ur mustang!!! u know u dont have to get a BRAND new one...even one a year old or a demo would be in your price range... |

Re: New Car, $50K-60K
if youre young, buying a 50-60k car is a really good way to flush a lot of money away. its a huge financial waste.

Re: New Car, $50K-60K
[ QUOTE ]
If your budget is that much why settle for a compact car? Unless you really value the super performance aspect of it, an M3 is so silly to get when you can get pretty damn solid performance with a mid sized import. Go for an A6, Mercedes E class or BMW 5-series. If performance is that important I'd still pick a Corvette Z06 over an M3. Swede [/ QUOTE ] noway...my m3 handles wayyyyyyy better than a z06 and ive had way less mechanical problems than other people i know with z06s |
