This is a pretty interesting view-point to me. In today's world of email, internet and phone conversations I probably interact with more people that I never meet in person than those I do. In light of that I personally don't have any notions against face-to-face meeting people I've gotten to know remotely.

See, I don't feel this way at all about "people barriers" and the media through which I met them, and I think it's really weird. We're all real people, with the possible exceptions of the Utahs and Peachy. The fact that we met each other through a particular and new-fangled information technology seems totally irrelevant. My curiosity to meet many of you could burn through a lead pipe... in its... laser-like intensity.... yeeeeah. Anyway, stop drawing this silly, arbitrary distinction between "people on the Internet" and "people in real life." We're all just pimps and hoes, like everybody else.

i received a pm from a popular 2+2er that apparently has the same perspective i do about this stuff. i would have responded btw, but your inbox is full so you can't receive pms. i'd probably rather meet him than any other 2+2er now though.
