Default Running It Multiple Times

I understand the variance aspect of running it multiple times, but never having played in a game where this is done, can you guys explain what the normal standard for deciding when you run it multiple times? I mean do you decide after both guys see the other's hand? Before the cards are turned? After one players exposes his hand? What is the norm?

Unsuccessful. Gus got a 4th in the UPC and made about 5K in cash. Probably the 5K I lost! Have done better at the Bike lately, played with Surfinllini on Monday, which was fun. I'll be there tomorrow and make some stupid donkey plays, as usual.

How ya doin'

Running it 3 times when you're a 4 to 1 favorite is incredibly dumb

It saved the guy who was the favorite 2/3rds of the pot. If they had run it once, he would have gotten nada.

It's never smart or dumb to run it or not run it. Duh.

This is the dumbest post I've ever read.

When we play, we vary it, usually after the cards are turned face up. However, the board is not run complete, just the turn and the river. It really is up to the two guys.

Wouldn't you agree that running it more than once when you're a 4-1 favorite is completely dumb? I mean if you want to reduce variance totally, run it 5 times.
