Lewis's book "The Silver Chair" that might be relevant. To Jake and the other fellow who asked about "truth":
The quotation wasn't a statement of truth, it was a statement of opinion from one of the characters. The whole point was that the truth wasn't known. That a choice needed to be made, one way or the other -- is life important or meaningless? The true answer to that won't come from the quotation, but the choices are fairly clearly outlined. PS -- Fairy tales are not only for the very young. You can grow up enough to return to them.
