Re: If the measure of a man...
If you do this on a weekend, and you have a place for me to crash - like a couch, closet, or vestibule - I want in, but I will replace beer with jack and cokes. I need an excuse to get down to the city to hang out. . .

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if i can do 3 beers at one time in a funnel, does that count? [/ QUOTE ] my best is 6. but then i am pretty much wasted [/ QUOTE ] I'm in the sixer club as well. I've only ever met one person who could also do that. My best attribute however is speed. [/ QUOTE ] Six beers at once here as well. The big beer bong in my fraternity required the holder to be hanging out a window, off the fire escape, or in a tree (the preferred method). Several others in the house could do it as well. I went to a reunion a couple of years ago, and the underclassmen challenged me to a race. They had a valve set up on their bongs so that a team of four could bong the six beers. I laughed heartily when they asked me to assemble my "team" and whipped their pansy asses singlehanded six ways to Sunday. I have a couple of great pics of them gaping in awe at my prowess. My wife is so very proud of that story. |

[ QUOTE ] What was the place and how'd you like it? [/ QUOTE ] Savage or Matty will have to provide the name. Two story place at 32/6. [ QUOTE ] Did you have the bulgogi? [/ QUOTE ] Couple orders of bulgogi, one kalbi, and a pancake w/ scallions. Everything was good, but the kalbi was best. Overall, really enjoyed the place. [/ QUOTE ] the k-bbq places are all pretty good in that area. and kalbi is way better than bulgogi: bulgogi is dry and thin and there's nothing to bite on, whereas kalbi is basically the exact opposite. |

Re: If the measure of a man...
To my knowledge there's only one Korean place in that neighborhood that uses real charcoal.
I'm sure Savage smoked your two asses under the table. |

I never expect good service when I go to an Asian restaurant. I go there for the food.

Especially because we didn't seem to interested in grilling the stuff ourselves. In my past visits to this place, it was not as good, but perfectly acceptable. |
