Frank, it's pretty clear you have no idea what you're talking about, and that you and SFer are totally talking past each other. You have no idea who SFer is. He doesn't do stupid [censored] like walking in unsafe areas alone with tons of cash. I'm quite confident he stays in/near casinos with occasional trips to some sandwich place he likes. I'm sure if the area was really terrible, he wouldn't go.

Also, anyone who claims "they're down," like you just did is probably a tool.

[/ QUOTE ]

He has the Jin and Mase stuff right though. SFer = O.G.

Are you out of your mind? AC=not safe place. Inside the casinos=safe. You walk the streets. You let me know how that works out for you.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've walked around AC plenty of times. I'm also a nonthreatening, short, Asian male typically carrying several thousand dollars in my pockets when I do so and I've never felt like I was in danger. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I think it's more likely that you and others tend to exaggerate urban danger.

[/ QUOTE ]

sfer you live in an urban environment and know how to stay out of trouble and also look and act like someone who knows their way around. I can't tell you how many times I have been walking in the city and I can see that I am being sized up. Your bearing and manner in these situations has a lot to do with whether you become a victim or get passed over.

Your name is Frank Stallone. I think that explains everything.

Shouldn't you already be dead then? That's a dangerous place.

Did I mention your clueless.

[/ QUOTE ]

Indeed.

"I used to work in AC as a paramedic and the only thing I can say about the crime rate is they didn't issue us bulletproof vest for no reason. They don't even do that in Philly where I am at now"

retards walk with money late at night in AC and get what they deserve. Just because you have lived somewhere or listen to mase on your way to the community center doesn't mean that it isn't dumb to walk with thousands of dollars through AC at night. you're not in the know and never will be. Please stop spewing this crap. I hate to break your fantasy of being a thug. You might have the NE section of your local mall on "lock" but AC is a very bad place to wonder with a lot on money without knowing whats truly going on around there. why not deposit it at the casino?????

[/ QUOTE ]

Nighttime? Thug? What are you reading? Or is that smoking?

Actually, I look generally clueless and nonthreatening. Friends have told me that and I get approached by strangers/bums/lunatics regularly. I think what's fairly obvious, now, is that I'm talking about near the casinos and other people aren't. I've never been in AC not near the casinos/boardwalk/Borgata/bus station. So maybe it is insanely crime-ridden and I'm just clueless. But, I think most rational people who have walked outside near the casinos will agree with me that the tourist heavy areas are hardly dangerous.

EDIT: But rereading your post I geniunely appreciate the presumption that I am, indeed, down.

I guess my point was that you have enough sense (urban experience?)to know where it is safe to go and where/when it is not.

If you don't then you probably shouldn't wander around AC.

What's the deal with depositing at the casino? Easy/hard/where do I ask?

Also, what's the pink chip game?

See you in AC this weekend.

If you are going this weekend, it's probably too late. Generally, you can wire money to a casino and have them start a "front money" account for you which you can draw off and deposit into. Then you can have them wire money to your bank account or write you a check. But...if you're playing 10-20, I wouldn't worry about this; couple grand is no big deal to carry, esp. in casinos/public areas (outdoor outlet mall). I don't think you will be taking a ghetto tour, right?

Pink Chip Game = 7.50-15 game using all pink $2.50 blackjack chips (3 chip, 6 chip betting).

that weird thing where the Miss America Pageant is held...

[/ QUOTE ]

This is where I stayed.

There's a state of a 3/4 scale Bert Parks statue outside.

Apparently, they've moved Miss America though.

I was in both AC and NYC on my trip east and the scariest place I visted was the Cincinatti airport.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. And with that I am going to lock this thread as it has not been about B&M poker in quite some time. However, I'm sure Greywolf will figure out another reason why I'm locking it, but not tell anyone.
