I've popped my collar a few times. It's a self-irony thing.

[ QUOTE ]
Collars down are for poor people. [/ QUOTE ] I laughed at the part where he explained he took liberties with his drunk girlfriend on their first date, and then explains that he is a gentleman because he bought her blouses the morning after. |

[image]http://tinypic.com/51cap2[/image] none of you look any less gay than any of these people. [/ QUOTE ] If I HAD been wearing my collars popped, THIS would make mestop immediately. Years from now, in an alien anthropology class, they will label the people in pictures like these, doofus butthooliksis |

It makes me just want to go up to them and fix their collars for them. I also want to pull up their freakin' baggy pants, too.
But then, I'm old. |

I find it funny because I fit nearly every stereotype in that article (except for the whole date rape and coming over on the Mayflower thing).

Re: Guys who pop their collars...what\'s the deal with that?
Ok... This fad has been around for a LONG time... Though hasn't been a fad for a very long time. It is from Rugby, in which backs DO typically wear their collars up, I still do it, but only if I am wearing a rugby jersey... And I have earned my right to do so on the pitch.

[/ QUOTE ] This makes sense. I didn't realize that it was a backs thing, I thought it'd make more sense for forwards since their collars usually get messed up in the scrum. I've always popped my collars because when my mom used to dress me, she put them up and I just stuck with it. |
