Yes. Not the best, but damn good. I can listen to Bowie in Portuguese (sp?) endlessly.

Garden State
Trainspotting
Blues Brothers (the original of course)

If memory serves me correct, Almost Famous has a decent one as well.

The Committments and The Blues Brothers are good answers. Also, Eddie and The Cruisers.

The soundtracks from "Streets of Fire" and "Crossroads" are really good, as well as the Ry Cooder scores from the same movies. Other great Ry Cooder scores include "Paris, Texas", "The Long Riders", and "Last Man Standing."

My favorite is probably "Crossroads." Cooder's slide guitar and Amy Madigan's voice on "He Made A Woman Out Of Me."

All of my other favorites have been mentioned, so I'll throw out Good Will Hunting.

Has it been a month already?

Nice call with the Miles Davis record.

My favorite is still Curtis Mayfield's Superfly.

As far as original scores I really like The Last of the Mohicans. It's awesome.

Swede

[/ QUOTE ]
Once again, I must agree with Swede. What's interesting about the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack is that it was actually composed by two guys after the first was kicked off/left the project.

Glad to see that other heterosexual males actually dig this one. The Trevor Jones work far exceeds the Randy Edelman on this, too.

Some other fine soundtracks of note include Rocky IV, Flash Gordon, The Empire Strikes Back, and more recently, Revenge of the Sith.
