Atlanta's D > NYJ's D?

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh sweet Jesus yes, especially since the Jets are supposedly moving away from their conservative playcalling with Heimeleimedingdong.

Atlanta is very much a ball control offense (less attempts for the opposing offense) and has a better D than NY. NY lost their DT Jason Ferguson who was the most important defensive player on the Jets last year. With him gone, the run defense will suffer. They've upgraded their pass defense (essentially Abraham --> Ty Law) but even with the improvements of Jonathan Vilma and DeWayne Robertson, the Jets run defense won't be as dominating as it was last year.

your QB should be Matt Hasselbeck. The Hasselmonster will throw for 4000 yards this year.

IMO, I think Palmer is going to have a breakout year. Of course, that's only speculation, and fortunately you don't have to count on that. Coming out of the gate, Hasselbeck should be your starter. By the time you get frustrated by his all-to-often mediocre performances, hopefully Palmer will have established himself to be a suitable replacement. Your receivers you can definitely live with. Probably Jackson, Clayton, and Coles are your starters, pending matchup problems or possible favorable matchups for your reserves. I love Coles this year. It would be nice if you could trade for a stud WR, but I don't think you have the ammo -- at least not now. You can't afford to trade one of your RB's until either Arrington and/or Bennett establish themselves.

I'm guessing you're not real thrilled with your RB's?

Manning at QB, of course. Brown and Green at RB, Ward, Harrison, and D. Bennett at WR.

QB
T. Brady v. OAK
K. Collins at NE

RB
W. McGahee v HOU
J. Jones at SD

WR
C. Johnson at CLE
E. Kennison v NYJ

RB/WR (pick one)
C. Chambers v DEN
B. Stokley at BAL
T. Bell at MIA
M. Robinson v TB
D. Blaylock at KC

Leaning toward Chambers with Stokley's injury plus playing against Baltimore. I am going back on forth on my quarterbacks though.

Thanks for the help guys. Also, I have Jeff Wilkins as my K (St.L) and Shayne Graham (Cin) is a free agent, would you swap these two? And what about trading J. Lewis and say D. Driver for a better WR/and decent RB. Who should I be looking to get roughly.

Don't put too much thought into your kicker. Wilkins is fine -- StL scores plenty, and he'll get his. It's hard to tell you to deal Lewis without knowing what you'd get back. If somebody were going to give you, say Julius Jones or Ahman Green and a stud WR, I would think you'd have to do it. But if you're going to trade Lewis for a stud WR and D. Foster or somebody like that, stay away. At least until Arrington is able to establish himself.
