yep, nothing scarier than an emaciated 2+2er coming to your door w/a lead pipe. however i hear they're easy to distract if you have magic the gathering cards or pictures of naked women laying around, so ya know.

Does anyone know if Yu-Gi-Oh cards or an Atari 2600 will work as well?

My friend is dominates mid-stakes NL cash games and $50 STTs.

He's broke due to some life circumstances. Nothing poker related.

The thing is, if you are a decent player, you don't need to be staked for internet play. You should be able to make a couple grand in free rolls per month. At most, you might need 50 bucks here or there to play a few raked hands to qualify for some of them. But you can just win a few hundred quickly in the non qualifier free rolls first to get that even. 90% of the players in these free rolls are novice players so getting into the money much of the time is just no problem.

So why would any good player think they need to be staked to get back on their feet again? It's just not neccessary.

Freerolls are easy, but they aren't free money. A couple of thousands? Where are you making thousands a month on freerolls. Party has some, late at night for any money player, but odds of winning aren't...that great.

Watch yourself or you may wind up in prison. Ask a lawyer but I think threatening to publicly expose someone unless he pays up is extortion. The fact that the story may be true doesn't matter. Nor does it matter that you are collecting a valid debt. Blackmail is not a legally acceptable debt collection tactic.

Yet another one of the dumbest things I have ever read, thanks 2+2.
