Ahem:

"World Class Player Reveals Secrets"

Where are they.

[/ QUOTE ]

I am eagerly awaiting them myself.

Once again, Fletcher, it sounds like you're close to making accusations against the sites themselves (although I don't want to put words in your mouth - clearly you haven't said anything like this yet). If that's where you're headed, be prepared for the fact that you'll have to provide evidence, not anecdotes - we've had very large (along with a large number of us having smaller, but cumulatively significant) databases analyzed for anything unusual, with no success; at least at the major sites, it seems that hands hold up as often as they're supposed to, come as often as would be expected, and the board cards are uniformly distributed as well.

If you were going somewhere else with your "secrets", I apologize. But if you're going the "rigged" route, you should know what you are up against here.

Also, once again...maybe reveal some secrets?

I think there may be more truth in this poster's post
than most of the respondents (thus far) are willing to admit.

I played a few days of live $20-$40 a few months ago. It was literally
like day and night compared to the online games.

Hell, I may go back to playing full-time live soon; I've been
considering it anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

But any World Class Player should be able to adjust to either game. I
also started out playing in casinos before playing online. I was able
to adjust and I am not even close to world class.

This poster is just a troll anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks too all of my new friends who responded. I appreciate that. I guess I should clarify a few things.

First of all, many of you missed the point. How could a world class player not adjust? Being able to adjust is what world class play is all about. Many of the people I play with on a daily basis are no slouches. They're a lot tougher I'd guess than your typical online pro. We get some live ones now and then to be sure, but for the most part the games can be tough to beat sometimes. A WCP should be able to beat any kind of game--hence the definition.

However, I can't seem to make any money playing online. And I don't mean pin money either. I'm sure a lot of you are grinding out between 15 and 30 thousand a year, which is fine, if you're living at home and mommy and daddy are footing all the bills. But if you live in LA, have a mortgage, a family, pay income tax, state income tax, etc. 30K isn't going to see you through the trimester--let alone a full year.

As I said in my first post, the players online are atrocious, yet I don't seem to be killing the games as I should be. Neither do a lot of people I know who are also WCPs. Why is that do you suppose? I have no idea. I can guess, but it's a mystery to me. If the players are very bad, and I am very good shouldn't I be making a lot of money? The answer of course is yes, but I'm not. What does this tell you? That I don't know how to adjust, LOL. Give me a [censored] break! That's what WCPs are best at, adjusting.

No, something else is going on. I have no idea what, but something. Put another way, if I can't beat it for good money then I doubt many can. They might say they are, but I have serious doubts.

But ya'll do beat it and beat it good, so I'm talking to the wrong people I guess. The people I really want to talk to aren't those of you making 25K a year but those of you making 150K a year--and not just for one year (and excluding tournaments) but for at least three years. I'll bet there aren't many (if any) doing that well. But if you're out there feel free to chime in.

In the meantime to the poster who said I couldn't be world class if I didn't use my real name, LOL, that's hilarious. An anonymous poster tells another anyonomous poster he can't be a real, because...well you get the point. Besides, I'd be a fool to use my real name. What possible good could it do me?

Okay all you online WCPs feel free to speak right up and let me know how you're doing. I'd love to hear from you, I really would. That's all for now.

Ciao

I never claimed to be a world class player. I am just an OK player who is capable of beating the 15/30 games that you are talking about. I only play in my spare time and I have already won more online than you this year. Maybe I am just running good. That's unlikely since I have played over 130,000 hands this year.

If you are going to come here and claim to be a world class player, why should we believe your claim? A world class player should beat the online game if someone like me can. The reason I ask for your name is so we can verify whether your claim is true. I assume you are very well known in the LA area and we have a lot of posters who play in the high stakes games in LA. I'm sure they could verify your claim. If we had your name, we could verify that you are a WCP and that would give you some credibility.

You don't even have to give us your name. All you have to do is get one of the well known 2+2 posters from LA to vouch for you.

Plenty of posters on 2+2 have met me in person and know my name. I am not hiding it, but I choose not to use it here for a number of reasons.

World Class Player? Are you serious? You are playing over your head, plain and simple.

I was beating online poker like 2 weeks after I started playing. 2 WEEKS!!!! and you know, I've NEVER played over my head. How long have you been playing poker in your life?

Sadly, I am down probably $400 in live poker. I've played in casinos twice. I dropped $200 at 5/10 at the boat here. There was 7 to every flop and my last hand I dropped 80 with a set of queens against 3 5 offsuit. Then in Reno I dropped around $200 in a weekend most of it on a hand where I had JJ flopped a J and AA turned a set against me. LIVE POKER IS RIGGED AGAINST ME!!!!

fletcher,

since you said you played with me and regularly beat the high stakes casino games it is almost certain i will remember you or know about you. so PM me your real name. i will not post it but will give credence to your claim of being a wcp if you are. if you are not i will not embarass you by saying so.

but i can assure you the wcp that i know are beating the online games at the major sites for the kind of money expected of them.

i cannot believe any wcp player would lose over many hours at 15, 30. unless he isnt good enough to adjust to the different game play on the screen. it is not fixed.

your move my friend.

zee

You say that becuase you arent winning that not many could be online.Well I have you know I have been playing full time and have many frineds from the Vancouver area alone who have beat online poker for 4-5 years.Outside the Van area their has got to be Hundereds in Vegas,LA,New York etc. Proof (from Van)I will give you -these players -all who have since changed their online handles-longtime posters will recognize their names (i know are personal friends who have killed online)silly rabbit,MILF,FEDEX,Fixer,bobsacamano,jennifer29 and mastercard. There are a few others but they still play under thier current handles so out of respect to them I wont mention them.So you say you are world class-PROVE IT -these players are from my area alone and anyone who has played with my friends above would know they are the real deal.-and are they world class? -prolly not maybe one of them Heads UP but they have all mde a very huge profit year after year.So are you world class?-I dont doubt you have made the money you say but it is very possible you have just found a very soft live game.Online exposes all leaks in peoples games and just from your post alone you show that you are not world class.Alot of people have said "Not all wining players live can beat online games but all online winning players can beat live games"-I really think there is alot of truth to that.
