To save anyone else the bother, here is the "more info":

Of course it's fake. What would be the point of assembling 7 mil in cash? It's not like Hachem's going to walk out the door with it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, that is an option at the WSOP.

[/ QUOTE ]

If that's true, then it's an option no sane person would take, if they want to make it to their car alive.

Keep in mind that a big corporation runs Binion's now, and I doubt they would approve of leaving that much cash sitting out there.

[/ QUOTE ]

Tim, I think you misread the situation. Casinos are in a cash ready business. It is impressive having the money there, the cost and risk of having it there is small compared to the publicity it receives. They know it is not likely the winner will demand the cash, but why not have it handy? They have had more than a week to clear any checks that people may have used to make their buy-ins for this tournament.

Big corporations understand the value of such marketing, they would be fools not to put the money out there.

What is the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Australian dollar. If it is low enough, Hachem can claim to be the first $10 million dollar winner to all his friends back home.

I'm pretty sure that the cash has 100's on the outside and 1's on the inside . Someone blew up a picture of last years money and it clearly showed a roll filled with 1's.

So, since I didn't get in on the audio, is the pronunciation like "hackem" or "hashem" or something else?

Is this picture the winner's share (7.5M) or is it the full prize pool?

Stupid questions probably: is that all real money when they bring in the money to final tables (not just this one), or is just paper between real bills? Or are the outside bills also fake? Are those guns loaded and ready?

From CardPlayer:

"Right now Benny’s Bullpen has just been recharged after millions upon millions of dollars were just brought out along with the WSOP championship bracelet. The money is piled about two feet high, bundled up in $10,000 wads of $100 bills, and covers and entire poker table, With so many Benjamin’s in the room, the smell of money is pungent and the players seem to be electrified. “If that don’t get your blood pumping, nothing will,” says Johnny Grooms. The two security guards flanking the cash with double pump shotguns give Binion's a old wild west feel. Poker, cash and guns. Late night for the last time at Binion's baby!"
