Re: My TruePoker WSOP 120K Hands Challenge - Update # 6
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Results so far: Hands Needed: 120,000 Hands Played: 91,229 Hands Left: 28,771 Estimated Hours: 292 Hours Played: 222 Hours to go: 70 Winning/Losings: + 573.00 [/ QUOTE ] Are you missing a 0 in there somewhere? This is horrible for 100000 hands, unless you are playing .05/.10, then good job [/ QUOTE ] Give the dude a break. I'm amazed he's able to play break-even poker... He's playing like 500 hands an hour for like 6 hours a day on top of a job. I would be hemmoraging cash. Hah. -Todd And though I think there's something sick and wrong with this much poker... I commend you for your work ethic. Good luck, Doyle! [/ QUOTE ] Thanks, Todd. Believe me, I am more disappointed than anyone about my miniscule win rate. With that being said I think some people are totally discounting the value of the WSOP trip I am going to win. Value of trip: $ 13,000, True points: $ 700.00 (approximately) plus whatever I hopefully end up winning once this challenge is completed. A winning 1 BB/100 hands $3/$6 player (including rakeback) would have to play 237,883 hands to equal this value. And I also agree that there is something sick... very, very sick about playing this much poker in this amount of time and I would not recommend it for anyone else. And you are also right about my work ethic, it is "the workaholic" in me that allows me to do this. And I am working this hard at it because I view the value I will be receiving for this at the end of this challenge worth it. Thanks again. |

[ QUOTE ] No disrespect sir, but I challenge you to play over 91,000 hands in 29 days (3 days of this challenge I only played 24 hands) while also working a full time job and let's see where your win rate ends up. [/ QUOTE ] If I played 90,000 hands in 30 days and only won $500 I'd shoot myself in the head.... [/ QUOTE ] Hey Sponger, Maybe you ought to give it a try, either way something positive might happen. |

Good on you, both for your insane challenge and also for your honesty in posting your win rate. Most people would lie about it.

I'm still stuck; these damn fools know how to make J8o crack my AA on the river. Nothing personal guys, but I really don't think that anyone who isn't playing 3,000 hands a day every day should be cutting on O'Doyles win rate. Shauna |

Run a marathon in my shoes. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I can do a mile in about 3:40, so a marathon should only take me about an hour and a half. Especially since I'll "get used to it" while I'm out there. Right? |

If I have won at a win rate of say 2 BB/100 hands over the last 120,000 hands I have played, if I play 120,000 hands over the next 40 days, I will win the same amount of money. Hmmm. But wait a minute, in the first 120k hands, I played that over a six month period, picking exactly the times I wanted to play, who I wanted to play against, and I never played if I was tired, upset or feeling bad. If I play this 120k hands over the next 40 days, playing whenever I am able to, playing at any available table just so I can get the hands in, and continue to play even when I am tired, upset or feeling bad, ah heck, I still should be able to win at 2 BB/100 hands, after all, I am that good. |

Re: My TruePoker WSOP 120K Hands Challenge - Update # 6
If you look back on some of his earlier updates, I did play 2500 or 2800 in a day. Anyone who thinks he's playing bad needs to STFU and do better for a month at the same hands/day.
