You're her friend. You won't look like her bitch. Give it a shot. You'll regret it if you don't. I'm betting she's felt the same things you have and like you hasn't been sure how to approach it.

[ QUOTE ]
Instead of making a move on her, why don't you just ask her what she feels about the whole situation? That way, you won't feel totally awkward if she says you are just friends. You won't have to avoid her for a while because you are embarrassed about being shut down. Things shouldn't get weird between you. If she says she does feel something, then great, you may just have a very enjoyable relationship ahead of you. [/ QUOTE ] This is the obvious path. Just have a talk with her. Tell her that you've recently noticed that you are thinking of her in a different light and ask if she's ever thought about you in the same way. You don't have to try to play it cool with this girl, she knows you inside out. I doubt that this will even come as much of a surprise to her. You're always going to wonder about it, and your relationship with her is much more likely to go sour if either of you harbor unexplored, undisclosed emotions. |

[ QUOTE ]
bump for the morning crew. Two things: 1) you want to go on this trip but don't want to be seen as her bitch? I don't get this. She's your friend, a real good friend, and you have the hots for her right? Plus, you'll get to see some other friends of yours on this trip? (Did I read that right?) If so, man, this is a no-brainer in my book. It isn't like you are tied down, hell, go and have fun. 2) You've been friends with this girl for 9 years, she's attractive, you like hanging out with her and she likes hanging out with you....why don't you swing the conversation at some point during your 8 hour drive to women you've dated and mention casually how they typically aren't as cool as she is. See where that goes. It's a compliment for her and could be taken several ways. If she takes it badly, you can play the "I meant it as a compliment to you, cause I like hanging with you" card. If she takes it the way you intend, then you're golden. Plus, this way you get info about her and how she feels about you too. If you don't try to pursue this, then you are lame duder. Don't be lame. GL, and I expect a trip report [/ QUOTE ] thats good stuff P.S. trips not for a month, so dont hold your breath to early |
