Just because you are an excellent poker player whose fabulous business has done an awful lot for our game DOES NOT mean that you are always right in social situations. I believe that you (and Dynasty and others) COULD learn something here. If you choose to be too narrow minded in this situation to think about it logically or just plain don't care that is of course your right. You have taught me an awful lot and I'm just trying to give a little back

As you can see I don't post much (I only post if I feel I can truely add something valuable to the discussion). But I feel that this is important. A lot of people don't like you, Mason (not that this is important or that you should care). But sometimes you seem to wonder why. Showing your hand here and giving the player back his SB is showing him up. This "better than thou" aura of yours is why a lot of people don't like you or (probably better said) are rubbed the wrong way by you in social situations.

Please don't take this post as a flame or a personal attack as it is not meant in that way.

Hi General:

I want you to know that I've worked very hard on my social skill. Of course, I got some coaching from Ray Zee in this area.

Best wishes,
Mason

What planet do you live on? I have encountered this situation personally, and TRUST ME... showing the hand and giving back the small blind goes a long way. I think perhaps you should look at your own advice, social skill seem to be lacking a bit in your post. Try to be more polite to our host next time when he does his good deed for the day.

He was still out $60 for his dumb mistake that he would have never known about without your help...

Hi Custer,

This is true only if Mason's opponent would have won the pot by showing down his hand, which would have required at least a 10 high. Given the description of his actions, it seems he might well have been throwing away some kind of low-card garbage--in which case the pot would have been split. If so, then the opponent was throwing away only $40--of which Mason graciously gave him back half.

"Are the Game Good at Wynn?"

They is?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, are they? That's the answer I was hoping to get out of this thread.

If you can't infer that the games are good when u can win with a 3 high then i think you are missing the entire point of this story.. the only way it could be any more obvious is if he had just said "yes the games are good".... but that wouldn't make a very interesting post would it?

The English language is a wonderful thing.. learn to comprehend it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can comprehend the English language. You don't see me replying in Spanish do you?

I don't think one hand and an idiotic (and probably new) player's mistake is representative of the "quality of game play" at the Wynn. Being a new casino and all, I expect a lot of tourists (fish...although I, myself am a tourist), although I was looking for a overall "feel" of the room and games offered.

Instead I receive a reply insinuating I don't understand the English language? Did you take a couple of bad beats lately? Lose your entire bankroll? Slow down a little bit turbo. It was just a simple, innocent question, because I plan on playing at the Wynn in less than a month and would appreciate ANY information about the room.
