Dear Lou,

It's not a mindset. It's a daily decision to act.

Unless you're working 10+ hours a day, you have time to work out and eat better. Join a gym. Find an exercise plan. Decide to follow the plan every day.

Frankly, if you make exercise, or job performance or treating people well contingent on your mood then you're never going to exercise or work hard or treat people well.

Dear tbach,

Get a job. Note: you say you "generally only like smart people" cause you're bad at talking to people and if you don't have a lot in common with them you have no idea what to say and you project your feelings of discomfort and self-consciousness onto them. Don't do that.

Dear Something,

Why do you want to move up? Why does it matter?

Yes. Other people matter.

Dear handsome,

You make the conscious decision to study at earlier points in the semester. That's it. Theren's no magic phrase that'll make you responsible.

Dear bison,

I want to move up for more money, of course. I have dreams about the $20/hr rakeback at that level. But I'm also very risk averse, and big dollar amounts occasionally mess with my head.

My current plan is to move up with 500 BB and drop down if I lose 100 BB. Seem all right?

Dear Bison,

I'm watching the Celtics-Pacers game and the refereeing has been awful. The Pacers are getting all the calls and the Celts none. How do these people get/maintain their jobs?

No. If you are going to do it, you should allocate at least 200BB. You could lose 100BB in a single session or combination of two bad sessions pretty easily.

edit-I realize that I am not named bison but I felt like chiming in.

Dear Bison,

Your avatar is perfect. It almost looks as though you're hanging your head in disbelief at the patheticness that is our lives.
