[/ QUOTE ] This is so wrong. Here's an example; I'm from Chicago, where there are a surprising number of Packer fans. One of the primary reasons is that our fair city formerly had two football teams; the Bears and the present-day Cardinals. Many Cardinal fans (and now their kids) swore of Chicago football the day their team moved (1959). Therefore, for this reason, it's really not fair to criticize people in Chicago who support other football teams. Many of them did support Chicago football; it left, and they moved on. They're not allowed to be "real fans"? Valid reasons can be made for supporting hockey teams other than the Chicago Blackhawks, too; here we have a case of the worst owner in sports treating his home fans like garbage for decades. Why shouldn't I be a Red Wings fan since all of my favorite Blackhawk players (or their sons) now play for the Wings?

i just like to watch sports, pretty much all of my favorite teams are the local -- and im from michigan
mlb: tigers nhl: red wings, flyers nba: pistons --- i really do not care for bb that much nfl: lions, steelers college: i root for the michigan team playing, and if state and um are playing - i just want to see a good game nascar: do not watch soccer: do not watch cheers

Thanks for all the responses so far. I have to say I'm surprised by a couple things. Not as much Boston and Seattle support as I expected, considering the amount of love they get in OOT on a regular basis. Maybe the few fans they have here are just more vocal than most? Also, there is more support for Texas teams than I would have guessed. Just some observations.
