Stars will never be one of the top-raked sites for ring games whores

probably right.

but it shouldn't be that tough to beat in the long run

definitely right.

Yes....sometimes the 10-player limit ring and even the 10-player NL-ring games can be pretty rock-ish....but they are also pretty damned passive.

There are 35k players signed-on right now.
They aren't ALL Phil Ivey's. Even if they are generally tighter than party players I guarantee that out of 35k players there will much fishyness going around.

The games ARE beatable.
Although admittedly many of the fish are just languishing around the tourneys.

Still....if you all wind up on the same tables trying to weak-tight your way through the bonus (as happens sometimes on the crypto $1/2 10-player tables) then you're going to come away saying "Man!! They're all rocks!!"

Well...Duh!! You're playing against a bunch of other bonus-clearing 2+2 whores....what did you expect?

It shouldn't be too hard to tell whether you have run into a bunch of tight bonus-clearing rocks on your limit or NL table.

Personally....I don't mind when this happens because they can frequently be so passive that they are VERY beatable. 'Weak-tight' does NOT mean 'good-player'. It just means 'does not play 93o PF'.

Anyway....I guess the games aren't for everybody. And if you don't play higher than .5/1 than you will just not be able to clear it like a party bonus and it's not worth it for you.
But....if you ever think you might want to occasionally play there....or play some tourneys there....then you should be buying-in for the bonus since it NEVER expires.

Sweeeeeeet. Another Stars bonus to throw on the pile while I occasionally and slowly accumulate FPP's.

Don't forget you get an extra $20 for signing up through boogster (no I am not affiliated and am not trolling for referrals). But $20 is $20.

I've never signed up with stars. Is there an initial deposit bonus? Also, any rakeback programs (PM me if you know of one.)

Thx,
JB

Stars doesn't pay affiliates by your rake, so it is impossible to get rakeback. They don't have initial deposit bonuses either, but they do pay your affiliate for signing you up, so you may be able to find an affiliate who is willing to split their take with you if you sign up under them (most likely someone has PM'd you about that already).
