Pros, what's your biggest downswing?

Yeah. I find that the whole psychology is different. People I play with at the casino are there because they want to drink and gamble and have fun. People who play online are often doing it because they are serious about playing poker.

Yes I have played a lot of live in many places and it is basically a joke compared to the net. In my hometown the 15-30 is softer then Party 2-4 and its not even close!

Now I think I'm missing something. In my original post, I said that if your VPIP is less than 19 and you are beating the game fairly well, I don't think it is possible for you to have a 600 BB downswing. Someone with a higher VPIP would be more likely to have this size of a downswing. You question this, but it sounds like you are agreeing with me.

Using 20,000 hands as the measurement period and using a 95% confidence interval, your standard deviation per hour/per table (per 65 online hands) would have to be north of 31 big bets...

said another way, there is 95% confidence that you will not get stuck 600 BB's over 20,000 hands if your standard deviation is 31 or less...
