I saw Sheer Terror once. The singer (I can't recall his name) was hilarious. He yelled at the crowd "You guys are the sorta kids who used to make fun of the fat kid. Now you are wearing his pants."

Paul Bearer..he was hilarious. I thought they sucked though.

NYHC was never my favorite after Sick Of It All. H20 was pretty good actually that was there first show (my first show). A lot of good jersey bands too who played the scene like Lifetime, Mouthpiece, One4One

I'm 26, I grew up in Long Island. My first Hardcore show was in 1994, (Sheer Terror and some locla bands) so I've seen pretty much everyone but Gorilla Bisquits. (Saw a sick CIV/Stillsuit show though). I was even in a pretty obscure Long Island band, but I got to play with Glassjaw, Hatebreed, Despair, Tripface, Handsome, Inside, One King Down, Farenheit 451, Boy Sets Fire etc. My friends (the talented guitarists in the band) moved on to form SkyCameFalling, and one went to form the sleeping, who are pretty popular right now.

Good to know. Track 4 I believe off their first CD is my song damnit! We played it once, broke up, and then I always remember my buddy skipping past it when he was showing me all the new songs for SCF. I was so bitter about that, until I realized my band sucked and I personally had no talent.

I grew up with John and Cameron (the guitarists).
We all got into hardcore together, we dragged cameron along because his older brother was our friend, Cameron has turned into a Mr. Hardcore with The Sleeping, and his childhood friend (who he dragged along)(Scott) started up From Autumn To Ashes.

Basically what I am saying, is I'm responsible.

Matty you are in NYC now right? We should start a support group for hardcore kid poker players who live in NYC.

Yup, I live on the UWS. I play at PS very rarely. A homegame with nothing but Earth Crisis' "ALL Out War" playing in the background, would be pretty sick.
