Our playcalling was 100% horrible in that game. Had a chance if we don't run the ball on 3rd down, twice, when the box was stacked. Awful.

Seems dumping Hackett didn't change that much. Maybe it is a different person on that coaching staff that's the problem (ahem)?

I didn't see the game. How did Bollinger look? His stats seem ok. Mediocre, not horrible.

This is Herm being ultra-conservative.

I don't know, maybe I'm a gambler but I don't think we win that game playing conservative so I let the kid sling the ball. I mean, they had 9 in the box.

Bollinger has 70 yds going into the 4th quarter. Made some good throw then, too little too late.

Oh, and once again we dropped a ton of passes.

i watched 3-4 plays of a jets drive in the 3rd or 4th quarter and bollinger looked awful. he was slow to drop and had absolutely no power.

Small sample. He looked good on some plays too, esp late in the 4th when they called passing plays.

yeah i qualified saying that i only saw a couple plays. but regardless, hes a third stringer for a reason, and i dont see how the jets season is going to be anything other than awful. i mean, they looked bad in the weeks before their first two QBs went out.

No, I agree. I don't think we win 6 games. I think with Fiedler we'd contend for a playoff spot. Chad was hurt, hence us looking awful in the first two.

"LOL"

schadenfreude bump.

The Jets have looked pretty terrible so far tonight (through 3 quarters). One decent drive, and about 37 minutes of trainwreck. Depending on how Testaverde's achilles turns out, they may have just lost yet another quarterback too.

edit - looks like once Vinny left they pulled the offense together. Hmmmm.....
