They reached in, but they were never far enough in to be sufficiently endangered, I believe. Secondly, she resisted, which only increased the need for force.
Furthermore, the taser is very unlikely to result in any form of injury. Fighting with her is likely cause injury to either her or the officers (most likely her).

Also, here she was being stopped by police without being told what the infraction was -- and was told to get out of the car or be tased. She's a black woman being confronted by white cops, and I'm not trying to play the race card here, but I can at least see why she said she didn't trust them and wanted to ask her friend on the phone (you can hear her end of the conversation) if what they were about to do was legal. She may have had the legal right to resist it (she didn't, but she didn't know that at the time), and therefore wanted to double check before submitting to the will of obviously trigger-happy white cops in a racially charged Florida town (I used to live in So. Florida and it's not harmonious -- the cops there are insanely bigoted). [/ QUOTE ] This is completely stupid. Race had nothing to do with it. she was a straight up disresptful bitch from the first second she got pulled over. She got exactly what she deserved. I also dont get why everyone is all "OMG! how could they use a TASER on her??" Like a taser is some sort of fiendish weapon or something. I bet if you compare the two situations, one where we see her get tased, then comply with the officers. Or the alternative where they dont use a taser, but instead have to phsically grab her, drag her out of her vehicle, wrestle her to the ground, pin her down and handcuff her. You'd think scenerio two was alot more violent, harsh, and has a much higher chance for someone to get lasting injuries. The taser was better for her and for the officers. Theres a reason this thing is used by cops all over the nation.
