i have no problem taking someone's grocery money to go out and buy myself another diamond rolex. their are people starving in the world, and this guy could probably stand to shed a few pounds anyway.

I have a family member who attended a few GA meetings for a sports betting problem. Unfortunately, only 2% of those who enter the program, actually stick around in the long run

I dont think donating money to GA is a very +EV situation. You cant help people that cant help themselves and even if you could why? The world is a sick place and you donating some pidley amount to some crock os [censored] association for dead beats who cant take care of their responsibilitys is not going to change anything. Sorry, its the truth. Why not take the money and invest in something worthwhile like an IRA or your kids college ed. If you really felt bad why didnt you give the guy back his money at the end of the night? Your hearts in the right place , just not your brain. No offense.
