Some of my samples went to my son. I kept the good ones and gave him the crappy plastic ones. I think he has about 30 chips.

FYI - You can store your special ones in these Chip Binder

Do they make binders/inserts for plaques & octagons?

My samples have become my daughter's first set.

I have two of those chip binders. Word of warning for chip collectors, if you collect Chipco chips - they will eventually bleed and the colors will stick to the pages of these binders.

You may want to store chips in individual 2" folding sleeves or those see through Air-Tites. Your chip colors will last a lot longer than if you store them in the chip binders.

Default I\'m in

I'm in (for 1890 chips) as soon as PayPal is back online...

I've already got the case that will hold them all.. (no need to worry about anybody running off with that case!)

Damn you, TenPercenter --- you're costing me a lot of $$

Default BTW: Egyptian Cards and card markers

Last weekend, I was in Las Vegas and bought 3 different decks of Egyptian cards at the Luxor. They're not great cards, but should go well with the chips.

I also bought a couple of small statues --- one matches the $500 chip, and the other matches the plaque. These should make nice card markers.

Just ordered my 500 and one of those nice cases. I can't wait.

Now I just need to keep the receipt hidden from my wife!

Hi MSPatton,

You mean you have one specifically designed for these in the works?

That would be cool. Let me know when it is available.

Thanks,

Orange

Thanks for the heads up.

FYI - I clipped your comments and sent them to the supplier to see what he had to say.

From Dave at homepokerchips.com amoung other places:

"Thanks for your email.

Certain Red Chipcos and even red PaulSons can bleed. They bleed in our binders, they bleed in certain flips, they bleed into boxes holding them and they bleed onto each other if they are stacked. Personally I keep all of our chips in our binders and I have have no significant bleeding issues. I am aware of a few others who have had issues though so I definitely admit that it is a possibility.

I think the best protection for your chips are airtites. Unfortunately, they are the most expensive too.

Thanks,

Dave

I bought the case from brandsonsale via ebay.
You can see it here:

http://www.brandsonsale.com/tg-001802.html

The drawers hold 1200 chips. There's quite a bit of space in the top. I'll put the octagons and plaques in the top. There's enough more space in the top to put 5 of those plastic boxes that hold 100 chips each. So, that's room for 1700 chips, plus more space for the octagons, plaques, card markers, and probably the cards, too.

It's a pretty well made case, and a bargain, IMHO.
I suppose you could travel with it, if you've got burly body guards to help carry it, or maybe one of those luggage wheelie things... As a quick test, I just set my 1000 chip case (full of chips) on top of the chest and I could pick it up OK. But with nearly 2000 chips -- it's gonna be heavy.

I'll dust off the camera and scanner tonight to get some pictures of the cards and card markers.

I assume you are refering to the framing.
Yes, as soon as I have the chips I will be having them do a
custom setup to hold the set. 6 chips, 1 octagon and 2 plaques
1 front and one back. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
