theres also 7 people at his table so its not 11 people left, which elimanates the moving up the money because you are still 4 people away, which makes it a even easier push

A $500 jump from 11th to 9th should be least on the OPs mind. First place is FOURTEEN THOUSAND.

Of course it wasnt on my mind during the hand. but afterwards it came to mind, its a crappy reason to fold, just looked at it later on and thought perhaps it might be a reason to fold, but clearly its not. I question evey move I make..

I don't like the stop and go at all here. I think this is clearly a push. AK is too strong to pass up here. Even if you lose you still have decent chips to steal and rebuild your stack. And many many times you will find yourself way ahead here. And who knows him folding is not totally out of the question.

ps--- With all that said I still don't think that folding is that huge of a mistake. Of course on these boards everyone frowns on "weak-tight", im not saying that you are, just that every here is ultra aggressive. However, even by folding this hand you have a great shot at winning.

If I ever laid this hand down, you would have permission to kill me on the spot.

I think a big factor in this decision is if you are playing to win or if you are playing to get as far up in the money as you can in a very safe manner with the slight possiblity of still winning it. Most of the posters here probably have no bankroll issues so they are always playing to win. But for many players even a 2K pay day greatly outweighs a $500 pay day. I think this deseves some serious attention.

There are times to lay this down.. but this isn't one of them... and if you can't handle the payout increaese then you shouldn't be playing in this tournament. but if the 500 increase really is life or death well yea. fold it.

A 2k payday would change my life. But I'm playing for 14k.
