Re: Royal LHE on Ub
[ QUOTE ]
One more thing, if you get 3 pair which will be after the turn, check/fold. You won't hit a boat 9 out of 10 times and if you miss you won't even have a straight. [/ QUOTE ] Where do you get the 9 out of 10 number? If you have 2 pair you have 4 outs out of 14 unknown cards, correct? |

Re: Royal LHE on Ub
You need to realize in this game vs. the original, with 6 players there are only 3 cards that don't play. That makes it different and can be clearly seen using Poker Stove. But go ahead and draw out every time in that situation if you like, I won't without a straight for a back up.

Re: Royal LHE on Ub
It was a figure of speech I guess, maybe not that bad but really unless you have top 2 pair and good pot odds and no one raised raise pre flop expect yourself, then maybe. I can't get an exact calculation but you have to understand some or all of the cards you need are already taken. In the reagular game there is a large spread where half the cards will never come into play vs. most of them will in this game with 6 people. Experience seems to back this up as well.

If you have top 2 and the pot is relatively small, the fact that nobody has been putting in many bets indicates that your draw is probably more live than usual, and if the pot is big your boat draw probably isn't as live but pots odds will force you to see the river, unless you have an additional reason to think you are drawing extremely slim or dead. |

Re: Royal LHE on Ub
That might be the case assuming no one already has a made hand or is slow playing quads. Either way that is just one of many situations that come up. I'm really liking this game but it does get old and I will take jabs at the regular game every so often. I hope they get a 5/10 table.

Re: Sweet play w/ straight on board (and poss. flush)
The 3/6 players were pretty tough, but after getting down a little, I managed to get them on tilt (especially Griley who was explaining to the whole table what an idiot I am) and knock out a sweet $53 win.

Re: Royal LHE on Ub
Lately I have noticed people with amazing accuracy when a straight is good even when the board is paired or even twice. I have a hard time understanding when a straight is good most of the time. I have folded when it was good and call when it's not most of the time. Anyone have a trick to knowing when it's good most of the time and when it is not? Cause some A-Hole is going to play garbage that hits a straight thinking he can't lose. Thanks
