Where I was raised, out in the 'sticks', discarded trash and abandon appliances was the norm and I remember many a pleasent weekend putting holes large and small into washers, dryers, refrigerators, old davenports, and other flotsam and jetsam.

I can't respond individualy to everyone so I wanted to say Thanks to all for such great IDEAS - Large, small, numerous, simple, good, bad, great, silly, or otherwise.

Ok, I've heard "whack the pack", which means cut the cards, but I've never heard it used in this manner.

I used it here to mean the split of the proceeds. Usage may be limited to pool halls. May also be obsolete.
