[ QUOTE ]
Anyone understand the size of Phil's reraise? It seems awfully excessive, no? Maybe these were just the standard raise and reraise amounts.

figure with antes it's 10 or 11k in the pot to start (let's say 10), the raise to 15k makes it 25k in the pot, so a pot size reraise would be 75k, basically what phil bet

Barry Greenstein has added some humorous anecdotes to the player analysis at his site. Hellmuth had a similar reaction to Barry the first time they played. Basically after he got pwned by Barry on a bluff. Most likely why Phil gets a 2 for steam control.

Well at least we don't have to hear the "I've only laid this down 3 times before and every time I was right"

If anyone remembers what I'm talking about from 2004 WSOP I heard the other guy had 10's.

Funny how everyone is missing the point of this post. Whether Phil took a bad beat or not is irrelevant. You shouldn't berate the other players even if they play worse than you and win. That's called "sportsmanship". It's a moral argument, not a technical one.
