Most of the players listed are annoying. Thought I would add some that haven't been mentioned:
Phil Nevin - Every time I see him play he acts like a baby. Juan Gonzalez - Does he still play? Jackass. Bret Boone - The bat toss, the hair, the errrr...."fitness plan". Tanyon Sturtze (sp?) Nomah

I wouldn't say that I hated him, but I never liked Eddie Guardado when he played for the Twins. Everyone thought he was the greatest closer ever, but it seemed like he gave up 5 hits every time he came in (without allowing any runs mind you). He'd regularly get hammered and then luck out on a double play. It killed me to watch.

[img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] haha. honestly, i couldn't care less if ryan is his favorite player. everything i've read said people glorified the guy because he was a flamethrower and had a lot of strikeouts. i just think it's odd to hate certain people because they're overrated and like others who are often deemed overrated.

yeah N Ryan may be overrated does not mean i cant be a fan. he might not be one of the top 5 great pitchers but his talent was quite unique. threw 7 no hitters including one in his 40s. threw in the 90s in his 40s.
ripken's record was just something of longevity is not in my opinion a great baseball record. eckersley is just a one inning guy who was not a good starter.
