Don't worry, you'll bounce back. Probably just variance.

$82K this year.

Next year my goals range from a baseline $72K to $144K.

I played about 1 1/2 years of fulltime B&M poker in AC back in 1995/1996 but I only got in about 1600 hours a year each year. Returned to poker after burning out from trading equities in late 2002. This is my 3rd full year of online poker and about 4 1/2 years into playing professionally both B&M and online.

My first 3 years I only made about $40K a year, last year $55K and this year $82K. I think its taken my 4 years just to become a decent player..some kids do that in 6 months or a year.. but these kids are the exception not the rule ..even thu there are many of them on 2+2... I'm very jealous of the quick studies..but I'm happy with my progress. I seem to be increasing my poker income about 25-30% a year.

So expectations for 2006 are $72K-$144K with a realistic median goal of about $108K. I like to have a wide range of expectations becuase it just more realistic..and takes the pressure off.

I play mostly 6MAX NLHE- $100,$200 and $400 and LHE-$3-6-$5-10 and some PLO. I've pretty much stopped playing anything but cash games..Hopefully by early 2006 I'll be playing all $5-10 LHE 6MAX and all $200 NLHE 6MAX..and by the end of 2006 playing all $10-20 LHE 6MAX and $200/$400/$600 NLHE 6MAX.

I am humble grinder with realistic expectations and I love to play.

2+2 is such a great resource. It's definetly helped thnx guys.

I am (a) humble grinder with realistic expectations and I love to play."

All those with aspirations to be a internet poker pro, this statement should be part of your new belief system. This separates those that will still be here in five years from those that will not. What someone made this year has very little to do with online longevity. Many, many, many players with more skill than goodguy are now gone from several years ago. They played too high for their BR, played too high for their skill level eventually, or got tired of the grind after a year or two.

As to the tread's question, I don't know exactly yet. Not tax time yet. My ex-wife and I made $70K in the first 4 months then chopped the BR in half. Since then I have made somewhere in the $50-70K range. Even though I rarely play live, and have a strong dislike for it, I made $17K with three final tables out of eight plays.

I play NLH cash($400-2000), $200 S&G's and some of the bigger buyin MTT online. I struggle to play at the skill level needed to be a winning player. I work real hard and take every edge I can to get a mismatched game. I run from anything close to a fair fight. I haven't had a losing month in over two years.

Oh, I love poker.

ps. Sorry, goodguy, the third "many" was just for yuks.

I am only surviving because of bonus, but PokerPlex took $50 bonus back which is a big chunk of my earning this month. You do the math .
