Hard for me to conceptualize these stakes, but I know if this were 5-10 NL Id call $1200 pretty fast w/o a strong read telling me to do otherwise

[/ QUOTE ]

he doesnt have to call $12000 because hero started with only about $7700 - he has to call $6200

I think villain can easily have TT-77 trying to get value... (from you calling with board for split odds), or has missed flush draw and is trying to get it off a chop.

It is a fantastic bet by Villain to go all in. His hand is irrelevant. He is essetially just betting that you do not have the queen. 1 in 45?
I'd have to call this bet. (but the obvious point in the back of my mind would be.....the only way villain knows i havn't got the bitch is because he has her)

I don't think the decision should be any tougher just because you are playing for a lot of loot. The stacks aint deep relevant to the buy-in. If your suitably bankrolled just call and if you loose......so what.
why does no one think villain has aces or kings, methinks these 50/100 guys can be a little tricky as well.

anytime anyone makes a bet like this im ecstatic to get away so cheaply

[/ QUOTE ]first, you play in games where this is always always the nuts because lower limit party players are complete pansies who are scared.
second, you realize he only has 6K left right? hes not calling 12000.

your preflop raise said that you may have a big pair. is he capable of bluffing all in if he can't beat you? i think he probably limped with a bigger pair or even a q. tough fold, but tougher call. depends on your read. i probably fold.

if i limped with AA or KK 4 handed and saw that flop i would be careful. once the 3ed Q hits, it becomes a great overbet situation.

Heh, cut him some slack.

What El D is saying is that the PFR standards 4 handed are going to be muuuuuch wider than big pairs. It's more like any pair, AT+, Axs, SC, some S1G if you're feeling frisky. With the limper, the range might be a little less, but it's far wider than just TT+, especially in such an agressive game.

i understand, pretty basic, but thank you. shorthanded is why the word probably was in the sentence regarding the big pair. the jj may be best, however, if i limped with a big pair (slightly unusal shorthanded i know), i might overbet it too here looking for a call. i play at these stakes or higher often, althought the games usually are not this shorthanded. i think his respones is unnecessary. i would like to see the results posted.
