I didn't say the Indians would win the World Series.
I just don't rate a single late-season game, when we have the Wild Card lead even if we lose, as the kind of occasion where I expect a choke. That comes later. KJS |

[ QUOTE ]
heres a hypothetical: if youre a yankee fan would you rather finish 2nd in the east and win the WC, facing the white sox or win the division and face the tougher Angels? im kind of enjoying the streak of yankees 1st sox 2nd in the division, it would be a shame to break it up. on the other hand if winning the division meant boston didnt make the playoffs, i would face the tougher opponent in a heartbeat. [/ QUOTE ] I honestly think NYY will beat CWS. I also think they would beat LAA. But, the hypothetical doesn't matter. Because even as it stands, BOS is in first place. And there is a very good chance that it will come down to the final series. But, if CLE starts stinking it up, then both teams would most likely make it in the playoffs. And from that point, no matter who the WC is between BOS and NYY, I truly think that we will have "Round 3". I don't think ANA would beat BOS or NYY. I don't think CWS will beat BOS or NYY. Obviously anything can happen in a short series and I could easily be proven wrong. But, I truly think if BOS and NYY both make it, then they both play in the ALCS. craig p.s. Obviously being a BOS fan I don't want NYY to make it. But, I would rather have both teams make it than BOS not make it. I am assuming you would want this also. |

[ QUOTE ] This makes absolutely no sense given the current state of the Indians. KJS [/ QUOTE ] Come on dude, tell me about one cleveland sports experience that has not let you down......I have three images that define sports in the North Coast. The first is John Elway pwning The Browns, The second is Michael Jordan jumping in the air pumping his fist after hitting a game winning shot over Craig Ehlo, the final is Craig Counsel jumping for joy on his way to home plate..... edit: ps. the crunch doesnt count. pps. for all of you non cleveland sports freaks: did you know that of all cities with at least three major league franchises, cleveland is the one with the longest time since the last championship? furthermore, did you know that it is not even close (like almost 20 years not close?) [/ QUOTE ] you forgot about when art modell stole the browns |
