The theory here was that I wanted to CR him to represent the J/10 or a possible big draw to pick up phantom bluffing outs.

You're missing the point that everyone is saying, which, restated, is that when he folds to the river bet, you're not bluffing. He's folding a worse hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

He called with K9 off.

[ QUOTE ]
It's really "beyond your comprehension" to bet the river? Truly?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, it is, but I'll be the first to admit that I am not very bright. I have not read what others have posted, so maybe it is just me.

[ QUOTE ]
I have been representing a jack or a 10 the whole way.

[/ QUOTE ]

IMO it is your opponent who is representing such a hand with his turn raise. If you want to represent a strong hand, 3-bet the turn.

[ QUOTE ]
The draws on board all miss, a 3rd jack comes, and I bet out because I probably cannot win the pot unless my opponent folds

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree 100%, as you have a turd hand, but just because only a bet will win it doesn't mean that the bet has value.

[ QUOTE ]
How is this beyond your comprehension?? It might be marginal

[/ QUOTE ]

Again, I am not very bright, which is why I frequent these boards.

[ QUOTE ]
Why do people feel the need to resort to ridiculous hyperbole so often on here?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure that what I wrote qualifies as hyperbole, but again, I am not very bright.

People are hostile because people think you attempt to mislead.... Matador/CinnamonWind/HulkHogan all use *this* comment format and don't know how to spell goddamn properly and live in Canada. Why the repeated troubles? Why does nobody else suffer as you do?

[ QUOTE ]
I don't understand the Matador reference though.

[ QUOTE ]
he *might* call

[ QUOTE ]
Why is everyone so godamn hostile on these boards?

~ Tilts

[/ QUOTE ]

Hulk Hogan (illustrates both characteristics):

[ QUOTE ]
Now do you just *think* a flopped godamn royal flush

Matador -

[ QUOTE ]
American courts are so godamn stupid. The labyrinthine common law down there makes every court its own master. This would have been dealt with much more reasonably here in Canada.

[/ QUOTE ]

Matador

Wow, I'm impressed. Nice shot with the 'godamn' spelling.

No no no--this is too quick, I want a full investigation. Can we just unban the matador account, he showed some real promise in OOT.

I'm sorry, and i'm not trying to be argumentitive, but i've never encountered a 70 VPIP that even knows where the fold button is, let alone uses it at the correct times.

[/ QUOTE ]

Let alone folds the river to a donk bet after raising the turn when a totally unscary card comes off.
