the common usage of "gay" when not refering to something explicitly homosexual has taken on a meaning that cannot be replaced by other words. sometimes things are just "GAY" and thats that.

This is idiotic. So if you work with someone who is gay you couldn't come up with an alternative? I'd like one example where you must use "gay" not relating to homosexuality, etc.
