I think your best line is to check/call until you don't have the nuts anymore. If you still have the pure nuts by the river, bet accordingly. Otherwise, if any scare card comes, check, wait for the other guy to bet, and then say "I think you got me" and muck face down... and if the villains give each other looks like "Who is this guy, I can't believe he just folded quads facedown" then you know it's time to pretend you received an urgent call on your cell phone and get the [censored] out of there.

If you are sure of the stacked deck just turn your cards face up "lol I flopped quads, let's check it down". If the guy with the quad 8's/straight flush has the balls to show his hand as the winner he deserves to win the blinds.

Forgive me for taking so long on the results I only just got up (1pm uk time heh). Some great responses.

Well, the action was on me and I realised I couldnt sit there for ages and think it through, so I checked fairly quickly. My opponent ummed and arrd a bit and bet $20 or so. I figured I had odds to call for a misdeal, so I called.

Turn comes: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check again, my opponent moves all in. I start shaking my head and say 'jeezuz i cant believe im gonna fold this' and laugh and say that button exposed flashed his cards and i caught a glimpse, then fold face up. Button mucks face down. Everyone clamours about it, but it seems fake. I want to see if anyone comes clean and says it was a prank, but nobody does.

So I play for a bit, folding preflop. Then excuse myself to the bathroom, get my mobile phone to play its ringtone, do a bad job of pretending to talk to my sister, then come back and explain I have to go bla bla.

I dont think ill be going back !

this story doesn't make any sense, what good is stacking the deck if he's going to allow you to cut?

[/ QUOTE ]

I almost never cut them. So he knows he can offer me to cut it and I'll tap it. A bit dumb I know, but amongst 'friends' I feel a bit like im accusing them of non-gentlemanly behavior if I cut the deck on their shuffle everytime.

Sounds like with your friends you should switch decks, shuffle it, cut it, and then hand it back. Nice hand, though.
