I don't own any of the books, but I've borrowed them all from a younger cousin and read them. They're not epic but they are well written and entertaining; even moreso as the series goes on. Harry Potter himself is a dickhead, but Hermoine is a great heroine, Dumbledore has many beastly moments, and Fred + George are great comic relief.

If you don't think the books are worth your time, that's fine, but no need to bash those who do choose to read them.

And exactly where in my original post did I bash those who choose to read Harry Potter books?

It should imply that you are older than 14. I can not begin to comprehend grown mens fascination with a childrens book.

Has anyone else noticed that there's almost no one who has actually read the books and thinks that they are bad?

I havnt tried putting my knob in a meat grinder, I suspect I wouldnt like that either and Im not about to try it just to confirm my suspicion.

Childrens books are for children. If you enjoy these books then youe litarary tastes must be undeveloped.

That's complete rubbish. I know people who have degrees in English Literature, even teachers and professors of the subject who love reading Harry Potter.

Stop trying so desperately hard to prove your intellectuality to people and just read the books, they're excellent.
