Did anyone see the interview with this guy on Cardplayer? They asked him if he was going to stay in law school and although he didn't say no, it seemed quite obvious he was going to drop out. Doesn't he realize that a million bucks after taxes isn't that much money (in other words, he's not going to live off of $500-600K for the rest of his life)?

It seemed to me that he was not answering because he didn't know how much money he would walk away with. He maybe short stacked but he still could walk away with 7.5 mil. and if he does I'd say it's a safe bet that he never has to work again. All he has to do is hire a financial advisor and invest properly.

No one has said anything about Tex Barch (to my knowledge), but he seems to be the most solid player at the table.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wins.

John "Tex" Barch will be 2005 WSOP Champion.

He plays good but more importantly won't let the spotlight bother him and he has played in bigger plo and plh games for quite a few year. Nerves won't be a factor and I think we can count on a Mike Matusow blow up. I was there when he bluffed off a ton of money at the final table with 7-2 off. It will happen again.

cheers. J.Brown
