Re: They Showed It -- WPT Champ. KcJc
Honestly, what do you have against Tuan Le? Comparing him to Danny Nyugen is a joke. Tuan is an aggressive player, that is just his style. His going all-in with the gutshot was not a bad play at all in my mind because:
1) He already had raised a third of his stack in position. 2) The flop comes 6-5-2... What are the chances that his opponent could have hit this flop after calling a 5x BB raise? If anything, Maxfield was out of line for calling with 65s Out of position against an extremely agressive player. 3) Tuan figures that his 8 or 9 are live if he is called, which seems very unlikely (being called, that is) Quit hating, the guy is a badass at the table. May be reckless at times, but when you win two major buy-in tournament, one of them being the WPT Championship, you're doing something right. And that move all-in with 5-8 was SICK. Tuan can't make that move unless he has a dead read on Maxfield since the pot was so big. Paul is probably caling with K-high, or A- high. That is just a sick read and guts right there. I really hope you were joking about being able to beat Tuan Le, cuz he'd run you over like a 18-wheeler. |

[ QUOTE ]
To his credit, Hasan calls Tuan's all in with 77 (Tuan has As8s). but imagine laying that down on camera [/ QUOTE ] By this point they were three handed and either one would have a good chip lead on Paul after the hand. Did anyone else think it was strange that Tuan folded J4o in the SB 3 handed getting 5:1 on his money? |

[ QUOTE ] at the conclusion, Hasan and Tuan: "We did it, buddy!" "We did it, man!" [/ QUOTE ] I know. I mean, good lord--talk about an elaborate series of clues. Ultimately, I still doubt there was any actual cheating. [/ QUOTE ] If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck..... You just don't want to face it. |

I think there was a deal made
After watching yesterday, I really didn't get the impression that any of the final 3 were trying very hard. It stunk of a deal having been made to split most of the prize money.
Overall the play was pretty poor for a WPT final table. Though weird things do happen when one player has a huge chip stack that he really doesn't want to use to double people up. |
