[ QUOTE ]
You are a good dem kurto. [/ QUOTE ] And you're a good idiot. Regardless of your political affiliation. [ QUOTE ] Even if its false. [/ QUOTE ] Yet, you've never shown anything I've said is false. What, pray tell, was false in my last post? [ QUOTE ] Words like "torture' that you throw in 10 times a post. [/ QUOTE ] Weird... to mention torture in a thread about the claims that torture is taking place. How weird that someone would mention it when its all over the news and is being discussed by people. You can't be this dumb... can you? [ QUOTE ] you have mentioned this Santurom and Buchannon thing about 15 times over the last few days. [/ QUOTE ] Geez, and you exxagerate too. I just used the handy search function (something you perhaps are too inept to use?) and, it turns out that I've said it 3 times. Perhaps it seems like 15 times to you since you likely have to read each post 4-5 times trying to understand what you're reading? Of course, whether I mentioned it 3 times (reality) or 15 times (as an idiot described it) wouldn't really matter would it? Its the truth. [ QUOTE ] As usual you leave out the reality. Both Rick and Pat were chastised by THEIR OWN PARTY !! [/ QUOTE ] I'm discussing this forum, where rubes of your caliber post endlessly about how terrible Democrats are for calling people Nazis when Republicans do the same thing. This is not false. Show me the threads by some of the RW idiots on this forum like yourself where you railed on and on about how terrible Republicans are for doing this? [ QUOTE ] Both apologised.as they should have. [/ QUOTE ] Everyone who makes a gaffe apologizes. Never said they didn't, moron. I merely pointed out that both parties same the SAME sort of things but how a lot of the Republicans like to pretend its something unique to Democrats. [ QUOTE ] If you watched a legit news source you wouuld know that. Try Fox. You won't sound so ignorant [/ QUOTE ] LOL That explains a lot. |

What he did also paved the way for the rebelion in Iran.
What did he do? The way for the rebellion was paved by a series of US presidents supporting the fascist Shah and his SAVAK terrorists. All totalitarians regimes eventually end up defeated and out. |

[ QUOTE ]
I have never met an American yet who hates America. Though I have come across a number of surprisingly ignorant people who think that those who don't like Bush hate America. Its funny, too, how these same ignorant folk didn't leave America if they hated Clinton. Yet expect those who hate Bush to leave. (btw- I'm aware your post was intended to be funny (at least I assume so), but there are a number of people who would be sincere so I'm addressing those types.) [/ QUOTE ] I hate America. But I also hate Russia, France, China, Australia, the UK, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Al Qaeda. |

What did he do? The way for the rebellion was paved by a series of US presidents supporting the fascist Shah and his SAVAK terrorists. [/ QUOTE ] That's the popular leftist view, but the truth is somewhat different. The short version is that the "peace accord" destablized the entire region. |

What exactly did he accomplish? The main civil rights gains were made by Johnson. JFK was making backroom deals with Ross Barnett and George Wallace (MS and AL gov'rs), while Johnson stood up to them.
But the main reason is foreign policy. The Bay of Pigs was horrible, and probably led to this little thing called the Cuban Missile Crisis... which almost led to WW3. And what did we get out of it? We still ended up moving nukes from Turkey, which is what the Soviets wanted. He was incompitant, but at least he was ineffective. |

Balls are not necessarily a good substitute for common sense.

Actually the Republicans in congress made the main civil rights gains in the 60’s. Most of the Democrats (Robert Byrd, Al Gore Sr. and more) voted against the civil rights act. LBJ was opposed to it but saw that the political capitol outweighed his personal view, and he was right, since the Democrats co-opted civil rights as a plank they have owned the black vote since the 60’s.
But back on topic, I tend to agree that JFK is way overrated, the harsh reality is that his most famous action was being killed. |

Say what you will... the man had balls.
****************************************** Carter having balls!!!??? Carter is a wimp. His pathetic handling of the Iran Hostage crisis and his 'negotiations' with North Korea should cement his place in history of one of the USA's most cowardly presidents. Perhaps you meant this sarcastically... |
