I risk 20 to win 1K.

That would be a pretty tight bet.

I could go higher, but figured you wouldn't want to lose your whole bankroll.

Oh, snap! You know I'm rolling with well more than 1K.

I'll give 50 to 1 odds that if this ever happens (which it will) that it will be a double disc or box set. Unless, it's done like Led Zepplin (Early Days/Later Days (two discs released at different times)).

I don't disagree. But it's no fun if I say 'make a Best of for Radiohead, with as many songs as you want'. We'd simply get responses that were 'all the songs!'

The point of the exercise is twofold: To see which songs people like the most, with limits, and to see what songs people think are representative of Radiohead's overall scope of work. I think this thread lends itself to a better discussion.

I agree with all of the sentiments that Radiohead does not lend itself to a compilation, but consider this: Is it a crime, PocketTrips, that Radiohead doesn't play through an entire album in concert? They seem to make 'live compilations' just fine. Perhaps it would be better if I had posed that question: What would be the perfect Radiohead show, of reasonable length, including encores? Venue, size, etc. etc.

Have at it.

Not to be too much of a jackass, but live versus studio changes the whole thing.

Anyway, it clearly needs to happen at Red Rocks - because it's the absolute best venue possible, but also because it's right by my house.

Yeah, but this bet won't be decided in years. I foresee bad things in your recent future which will cause a huge dent in your bankroll.

I saw them on the "Hail to the Thief Tour" at Alpine Valley (near Milwaukee). Alpine is far and away the best venue in the mid-west. The best show I've ever seen (and I've seen many). I'll try to get their play list from that show and post it.

If you're interested in live Radiohead, you may be interested in a little thing called the Radiohub.

This one, perhaps? http://www.radiohub.org/modules/smar...m.php?itemid=7

Edit: PPdG, I know that live != studio. But I know you read the rest of my post, so you know what my intentions are.

I've seen them twice: First at Field Day, then again at Tweeter in MA (First US 'Creep' performance excepting the $2 Bill show).

Edit 2: I mean, how insane was this show? http://www.greenplastic.com/gigograp...ID=776#reviews

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks opened. Just wow.
