I never said I have a 30k bankroll. I said I've won 30k playing online mostly short 5/10, 10/20 and tournaments over 1 year and a half.

I don't see how you could win 30k playing 5/10 and 10/20 without having -$1k swings. If you're saying that you built up 30k without ever having a -50BB swing at 10/20 short handed, I say you never won the 30k.

If 1000 is such a large part of your bankroll, you probably shouldnt be playing 10-20.

A tight player with only a dime to give a game is better than a laggy fish with unlimited chips.

I play the 20-40 Perry game (and 10-20) - having a $1K swing factor in that game is nothing, I would never sit down at the table with less than 2K in my pocket - it has been stated a whole bunch of times in this thread, however there are lots of LAG fish in that game 3 betting and capping with almost any hand, getting to river on almost any pot will be costing you 6 big bets ($240), lose a couple of those pots to long shot draws (that may have even been getting the right odds) and 1K can go by in an hour and half - happens all the time......fwiw - the 10-20 games play a lot loser both before and after the flop, lots more loose PASSIVE players, if you play tight this should fit your style better and you will less prone to wild swings.....have fun.....
