I agree. But if Wade is at full strength, the team he plays for likely beats Detroit's team.

Wade is at full strength and Miami wins.

The great thing about Detroit is how much of a great team they are.

[/ QUOTE ]

So are the Spurs, bud. The Spurs play even better as a team. The Pistons have no one that can contain Ginoboli(sp?), and Horry is just a great perimeter shooter.

The D-Thugs stand no chance against them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the Pistons benefit more from teamwork than the Spurs. Put Duncan and Ginobili on any team and they're going to be pretty damn good. You can't say that about any 2 guys on the Pistons, IMO.

Spurs win this one anyway.

Billups and Hamilton would be stars on any team. Rasheed Wallace would be nothing without Detroit.

yeah shaq's way washed up.

[/ QUOTE ]

honestly is the dumbest thing i saw in this thread.

i dont think 27 points and 9 rebounds is 1. signs of a washed up player or 2. a bad performance.

the truth is that miami had a huge chance to win this game with about 4 minutes left and the game tied. detroit just played clutch down the stretch.

now we're in store for quite a boring finals though. detroit vs. san antonio is the least exciting of the 4 possibilities.

No excuse. I can say that if Posada had thrown out Roberts with a better throw in the 9th inning of game four between the Yankees and Red Sox, the Yankees with the pennant and the Red Sox don't win the Series. It's not an excuse, it's just that if A had happened, then B would have.

i dont see how either the pistons or the heat stand any chance against the spurs.

I think the Pistons match up really well with the Spurs. Only reason why Spurs might get lucky and win win is because they have big shot Rob.

My friend, how wrong you are. Ginobli being guarded by Prince with Sheed and Big Ben guarding against his drives? He's in for a long series.

Maybe, but I don't think they'd be enough to carry an average team to championship caliber. Neither Billups or Hamilton were able to carry their previous teams to a high level. Before he came to Detroit, Hamilton put up decent stats on a poor team (the Wizards). Billups was on a good but not great Minnesota team, but was not a big part of the offense there.

This is not a knock on either of them, I just think they've "fit in" much better on the Pistons than any other team, and I'm not convinced they would be stars elsewhere. And Hamilton is one of my 2 favorite NBA players (I'm a huge UConn fan).

Why is it that the guys that talk the most amount of trash and have the most bravado always collapse in the clutch? Damon Jones, Alonzo Mourning, Doug Christie, Chris Webber...
