I've heard that Sam Jackson's death in Deep Blue Sea is a legitimately brilliant scene in a bad movie. He's about to give the classic rally the troops speech when a shark comes and swallows him. Just saying that makes me chuckle, and I haven't even seen the movie.

Saving Private Ryan: The beach assault, and the very end of the movie with the older Ryan at the Captain's grave.

Very powerful.

Yeah.

I think the Black Panther Scene with the white kid's report on Abe Lincoln was pretty funny. I went to college with that kid.

Also the scene where the girl takes off all her makeup. That was pretty funny.

Band of Brothers has some great cinematography.

- the shelling of the allied positions at Bastogne
- Winters' "wait for the red smoke" run
- taking the 105's at Ste Mere Eglise

and the most chilling: finding the death camp in the Why We Fight episode, where Liebgott has to tell the prisoners they're being locked up again for their own safety.

What's your vector Victor? From Airplane.

Do you know what nemesis means? Scene from Snatch (so many good ones from that movie.

Final hand of Cincinnati Kid.

Final witness from A Few Good Men.

The Catherine-Zeta Jones scene from Entrapment...you know the one...don't play dumb.

The witch trial from Monty Python's Holy Grail (too many good ones here to list them all).

When the Corleone family takes out the heads of the other families in Godfather I.

"I see your shwartz is as big as mine".

The poisoned wine scene from The Princess Bride.

Firdt 30 minutes of Saving Private Ryan.

Nice picks. Band of Brothers is/was a great miniseries.

In a similiar vein:

The Pianist, when the German officer has him play the piano.

Schindler's List: the end scene. All of it.

Can't believe Braveheart isn't in here.
The end when he's being tortured/killed.

Lot of good scenes listed so far. Here are some more I really like:

Fistful of Dynamite Rod Steiger finding his children all killed in the cave with a bunch of other rebels.

Three Days of the Condor Max Sydow explaining things to Robert Redford near the end of the movie.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly the torture scene with the band playing outside.

Face/Off the scene with the big shoot out where we here what the little boy is listening to, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

The opening scene of Touch of Evil

The opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark
